Defeated by Excel

Ok, what the heck? Excel can do all these complicated functions but it can't freaking do division? I looked up websites, tried many help articles, and every function I've tried has some sort of error. I get the ## or the wrong value. Help? All I'm trying to do is divide the points earned column by the points possible column.

WHY am I still awake??? Oh yeah, school stress :P It's not fair that I don't get a weekend.

i just tried it, and this worked fine on mine:

if you have the points earned in A1 and the points possible are 450, you just enter =(A1/450) into the square where you want the percentage to come up. it worked perfectly on my computer, and you can just drag the corner of that box down to get the same function to appear in the whole column.

I tried this, and 80 different variations, and none worked. I think I'll try a brand new spreadsheet and see if myabe the teacher I got my current one from formatted it in some weird way.
