...and I usually do what I'm told. ;)

Post one good thing and one bad thing about your day.

Good thing: I just watched the second episode of Sherlock season 3. Hilarious. A bit slow as the middle eps usually are, but this is the best middle episode of all 3 seasons.

One bad thing: a friend is in the hospital with low blood sugar, which may be related to her diabetes or it may be related to her failing kidneys. Said friend has had a really rough go of things health-wise for years now.

I need to bake brownies now. I have to make them for a work potluck, but baking is theraputic, so that's a plus.

Fangirl release. You've been warned.

-I watched all of The Office UK pretty much because Martin Freeman is in it.
-Holy carp THE HOBBIT part 1 in December! I didn't even like the book that much!
-Today is Benedict Cumberbatch's birthday.
-I have the same blue/green/gray/yellow, change-colors-depending-on-my-shirt eyes as Benedict.
-The taxi driver in "A Study in Pink" looks sort of like my dad.
-Watching Bleak House with my roommate, I suddenly realized that Mr. Smallweed is played by the same actor as the taxi driver in ASiP by recognizing his front teeth.
-I got a call from some random number. Instead of silencing the phone, I let it keep playing the Sherlock ringtone.

If only I wasn't going camping for 3 days. Because my mom has Netflix, I can watch
-6 seasons of Doctor Who
-9 seasons of No Reservations
-Sherlock S1 over and over and over...
-The Office UK, which is most likely with only 14 episodes. I could knock those out in about 7 hours.

I also discovered Neve Mind the Buzzcocks on YouTube. Um, this could be dangerous.

Aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnd for any fellow Sherlock fans: seriously, when does he do his laundry??? With his impeccably ironed button down shirts? Oh, and I love John's jumpers (sweaters for us Americans).

Tonight I have to make a cake for a family bbq tomorrow.

How did I NOT recognize Mark Gatiss (Mycroft in Sherlock) was John Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility (2008)? Maybe if I'd watched that version last night instead of 1995, I would have made the connection.

[livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter was (hopefully) entertained by my frequent texts as I watched the season finale of Sherlock. If you haven't already, you should watch the show. Both seasons have only 3 episodes, and you can watch S2 online through June 19th. S2 makes more sense if you've seen S1, but you may still be entertained if you can't access it. Also, having seen the 2 Sherlock Homes movies with Robert Downey Jr. helps, but isn't necessary.

SQUEE!

A friend posted on FB that 2 of her friends (turned out to be mother and daughter) saw the stars of Star Trek at a Hooters near my hometown. As in, the next city south. I haven't seen ST, and dunno if I ever will, but BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH was there! This sighting coincides with the new Sherlock episodes airing this month. I have a minor crush on Benedict (thanks [livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter for thrusting the S1 dvds into my hands!) since seeing him as Sherlock. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY am I not back in my hometown so I can stalk a celebrity???

Not that I want to go to Hooters by any means, but Benedict!! As soon as I heard they were in the area, I guessed they were filming at Livermore Lab. I was correct. http://livermore.patch.com/articles/star-trek-cast-spotted-at-hooters
