All right people! I'm a Borders junkie and I have an Amazon gift certificate. Tell me what books, movies, or cds I should try. I'm a somewhat tame person, so no gore/horror movies or really out-there music.

okay, you need to read "twilight" by stephenie meyer. you also need to read the sequels ("new moon" and "eclipse") but you need to read twilight first.

i also highly recommend sara bareilles' cd "little voice" and i really like both of kt tunstall's albums.

that's all i have for now :)

I love how quickly you responded :)

I know I should read the Twilight series, someday I might.

Alter Bridge is a favorite secular artist of mine...I've always been partial to the singer, Myles, and how he sings. I loved him in The Mayfield Four!

As far as a movie...I just saw "Life is Beautiful" and I thought that while it was kinda(!) sad, it was wonderful and that everyone should see it.

Aw, that counts out almost everything I like lol
j/k

You probably wont be into them, but I just have to suggest them anyway: The Raconteurs' album "Broken Boy Soldiers". Check out "Hands", "Level", "Steady As She Goes" and "Blue Veins".

lyrics for your convenience ;)

And also, Feist's new album "The Reminder" has some great tracks on it. Namely "1234", "I Feel It All", "So Sorry", & "Past In Present"

I like Feist's "1234" already. I'll check out Raconteurs.
Semi OT: I might have to get some of the Austen movies on dvd since they seem to be on late on Sunday nights. So, if you watch them, you HAVE to tell me which to get.

Also, I tried reading OMF again and I just can't get into it. I know all the characters and plot lines will come together, but right now it's so jumpy. Maybe I'll just rent the movie.

I'll be sure to tell you which you must have :)

I don't blame you for being put off by OMF. Even the movie is a bit jumpy (but it's so much easier when you're seeing it). You should definitely watch it and then try the book again if you feel like it.
I hope you love it!

P.S. be sure to listen to the Raconteurs song "Together", too!
