Moulin Rouge

I just watched Moulin Rouge for the third time...ever. First time was in the theater in 2001, second time was about three years later on TV, and now, finally on my dvd. I loved it the first time I saw it, but man, I forgot how GOOD this movie is. I found myself holding my breath many times, getting emotionally involved even though I know what happens. I had forgotten a lot of specific things, so seeing the story again was almost like seeing it for the first time.
I want Satine's red dress. Ewan McGregor sings like a dream. I was singing along with all the songs. Toulouse cracks me up, as does the narcoleptic Argentinian. Love this movie. Need at least one icon, though do I really need another movie-couple icon? Yeah, I do. :D
Edit: found icon!

Date: 2007-11-18 06:20 am (UTC)I loved Romeo and Juliet (same director) so I liked the similar film style. First hearing them sing Sound of Music made me go o_O in the theater so I was interested. It's a love story/chick flick, so that gets my vote, and great music that like everyone I know used to sing. So, uh, yeah, I love it. For many reasons. LOL.

People are allowed not to like it, obviously. I just think before people judge they need to watch the thing from beginning to end.
