THE FRIDAY FIVE FOR 9 MARCH 2018: THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS

1) Who made you feel good this week, and how?
Customers who were happy with me, and who thanked me for being so helpful.

2) What did you do this week that moved you closer to reaching your goals?
Ha, no closer to my goal of running again. I considered joining the gym by work so I could just go right after my shift. Still a possibility.
I started a book, so that moves me toward my goal of getting through a pile of books.
I finally got a handyman to come fix my shower. He messed up my ceiling fan though, and I'm still waiting for handyman #2 to let me know his schedule.

3) What did you most enjoy doing this week?
I had Monday off. Aside from needing to be home for the handyman, it was nice to not be at work.

4) What did you learn this week?
New things here and there at work. Also, the book I am reading is different than what I thought it would be.

5) What’s the funniest thing that happened to you this week?
Can't think of anything. My slip of the tongue last week still makes me chuckle.

1) What's the weather like where you are today?
HOT. It's summer in Phoenix. Say something about the "dry heat" and I might punch something.

2) How does this type of weather make you feel?
As long as I have working AC, it's okay, though I dislike hiding indoors all the time. Today was only 108, whereas last week was 119. Yes, there is a difference you can feel. I didn't mind going out to do errands today. When it's over 110, sigh. You get used to it, but never learn to like it.

3) What's your favorite time of year (thinking about the weather)?
Winter, when it's finally cold enough to wear a sweater and need a coat while outside. Also, November when it FINALLY starts to feel cool again. Yes, we get into the 90s well into October.

4) Is there any weather that just makes you want to hide away indoors?
See #2 Also, in August, when it hovers around 105 and 50% humidity. We come out when it starts raining though.

5) If you were moving somewhere purely for the climate, where would it be - what's your perfect year-round weather scenario?
I don't know, though I once had a roommate who swore San Diego had the best weather year-round.
