Last night, I went down to Mill Ave after work. I got there around 5:30, but the strange people had already started to descend. Probably only
orogenesis11 knows what I'm talking about, but I liken Mill Ave to a cross between Bourbon St in New Orleans and Telegraph Ave in Berkeley. Lots of bars, several restaurants and shops, less dirty, but attracts a huge variety of visitors. I went to Urban Outfitters, which I like less than I used to. Went to Borders, found one book of reading activities. Went to Starbucks, got a fresh from the box toffee almond bar. Ate half of it, froze the rest, ate that this morning. Yum. Drove home in traffic and a semi-delerious state. Oh yeah, got an old $5 bill, forgot what they looked like.
Put Return of the King with director commentary on for noise. Since my computer is on the opposite side of the room as the tv, I finally figured out a way to not have to strain my neck to see: I have a mirror on my desk :)
Saturday morning tradition: Leave alarm set for 410am, wake up, be happy I can sleep in, reset alarm for 810am, but snooze until 10 or 11. Get up, make some coffee, and get on computer for a while. :)
