Friday Five: grocery shopping

ringsandcoffeeIt's a seemingly never ending task - grocery shopping.
1. Do you make up a dinner plan for the coming week?
Nope.
2. Do you make up a grocery shopping list and stick to it when shopping?
I only make a list when there's a lot of specific items needed, as I tend to forget otherwise. On the occasions I do plan to make a couple of recipes, I'll make a list of needed ingredients. However, I like to keep stuff on hand, or make what I have the ingredients for.
3. What is one thing that you always buy, but never write down on a list?
milk
4. Is there anything that you always think you are out of and come home with it to discover you already have a year’s supply on hand?
I discovered 5 containers of cocoa while recently organizing my baking supplies. It gets pushed to the back so I don't remember it's there.
5. Do you get your groceries delivered?
Nope. I love going to the store and wandering the aisles.

3) Used to be ice cream, before that wine, now probably cookies or another junk food for the kiddos.
4) Occasionally a particular spice. More often the opposite happens, where I think I have [basil oregano cumin] and get home and do not have it.
5) No way. It's a great excuse to get out of the house
