1. Where did you grow up and do you miss it?
Bay Area, California. I helped a customer today who lives in NorCal sort of near my mom, and she also lived in the Bay Area, so it was nice talking to her about that. It made me miss it a little. I hope to go back this spring, maybe.

2. Which are your three favorite words in the dictionary and why?
All I can think of right now are plethora and qualms. Qualms because it was part of a running joke I had with Allison in high school. Plethora is a fun way of saying a lot or many.

3. What is a vegetarian dish that you really like?
Falafel, even though I don't have it very often. Also black bean burgers.

4. What do you do when you have a misunderstanding with your friend?
It doesn't happen often. I usually just go quiet until it smooths over.

5 What do you daydream about?
Sleeping in on Saturdays. Traveling. England.

1. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, before moving to Virginia after graduating high school, and I do miss it. I miss seeing my half-siblings (my Dad's children from his first marriage) and their respective families. I have four nephews (my brother Tony's kids), and a niece (my sister Vicki's daughter), and I miss getting to see them grow up. I plan to visit them this year, and it'll bring back a lot of memories.

2. I love words like mystical, ebullient, and Ragnarök - they all flow off the tongue nicely, and they feel powerful as well.

3. Sushi - it's delicious and I haven't had it in such a long time.

4. I would let then listen to what they had to say, and I would talk to them about it.

5. Having my pseudo-memoir and writings published.

Ahhhh Chicago is amazing. My friend is running the Chicago marathon this fall and I'm tempted to go cheer her on.

FRIDAY FIVE
1. Where did you grow up and do you miss it?
I grew up right here, in Rochester NY. Never lived anywhere else (with the exception of 1 yr I lived 2 hrs away)

2. Which are your three favorite words in the dictionary and why?
In HS I had a joke with my friend about the word propinquity. We're still friends and we still say the word in a funny way. Right now I say "totes" for "Totally" to Paul all the time because we saw it in a movie and I thought it was hilarious. I don't know if "totes" is in the dictionary though.

3. What is a vegetarian dish that you really like?
I like the veggie patty at Subway. I have a good recipe for a summer quinoa recipe that's so good. Sidenote: I may add quinoa to my words for #2 because I always want to say qwi-noah not KEEN WAH.

4. What do you do when you have a misunderstanding with your friend?
It doesn't happen often.<-- same. Usually one of us will apologize and it's a non issue. Unless my friends are mad and I don't know about it.

5 What do you daydream about?
Quietness. Calmness. Like having a house on the water and drinking coffee on it's quiet and calm porch.

Plethora is a great word. :D

I day dream about sleeping in most morning - our cat alarm goes off at three a.m., weekends included.

I'll just be visiting. I haven't been back in over a year so I miss it. Stockton to me is the place where we cross over on Hwy 4 to 99 on the way to where my grandparents lived in Pioneer, and now Jackson, where my mom now lives.

Ah yes, the cat alarm. The cat we had as a kid would wake me up, and only me, to be let outside in the middle of the night.
