ringsandcoffee1. What is something amazing that has happened in the last five years?
Hard to say. I got to be the default grade level leader last year, but only because my teammates were new. I switched careers, if I can call what I currently do a career. I can move up in the company.
2. What is something you would love to happen in the next five years?
After talking to a coworker, I realized maybe I can afford to buy a condo. I had my heart settled on a house before, but a condo, with less of a yard to maintain, would be nice. It just has to have a decent-size kitchen and preferably a pantry.
3. Do you make "life plans" or do you live spontaneously?
One year to the next always seems so different.
4. Do you think about what you might do when you retire?
I'd love to travel, if I can afford to.
5. Is your lifestyle similar to your parents, grandparents, or something utterly different?
I guess similar to my parents as in working for a living, but very different otherwise. I'm single, no kids, and don't own a home.

5. I work in the administration of a university, I'm a writer and I obsess over fannish things, so it's completely different from my parents and grandparents. My grandpa is an English immigrant, who worked as an accountant until he retired, my grandmother was a homemaker, my dad was an immigrant from Sicily and he was a car salesman until his illness, and my mom was a real estate agent, but she had a zest for life. Different wavelengths all together, but my sister and I are conscientious workers, just as they all were before me.
