What's the point of 'liking' someone's LJ post if we can't see who liked it?

If you're on an older setup you can't hover over the little "heart" number and see who's liked it. I don't like the "feature" much myself, because who cares, they liked it but not enough to say anything.

OTOH I only have one person who "likes" my posts, so I can ignore the notifications.
