I just watched the season 9 premiere and it ROCKED! Soooo much better than S8. I hope this sets the standard for the rest of the season.

I'm not sold yet, but suspending my opinion after more episodes. I'm just so tired of Stephen Moffat's writing/storytelling style. And also, was it just my tv or was the music really loud? I sometimes couldn't hear what was being said over the music.

I watched on my laptop, so I didn't notice if the music was too loud.

Last season was not great, but I made the mistake of reading snarky and/or critical reviews people posted, which soured the few eps I did enjoy. Moffat might win me back a little this season. Maybe.

You're right, I think in general we let ourselves be led by reviews to much in stead of just watching the show for what it is. Still, even just watching it, the last seasons of Dr. Who annoy me....
