I read a Charles Dickens book. Cover to cover. Not watched a play of one (A Christmas Carol), not watched watched a movie of (Little Dorrit), not listened to on audiobook (Bleak House, though that counts for something), and not read 90 pages - gave up - watched the movie - then read most of it minus the boring parts (Our Mutial Friend). No, I just finished Great Expectations, and truly enjoyed it.

Dickens is harder than Austen or Bronte, but still good.

No, I'm not on goodreads. What is it exactly?

Bravo!

Dickens is so detail and character obsessed sometimes it takes a faster paced screen adaptation to get us on his level of passion for his stories.
