Trying to tell myself that there are far worse problems in the world only increases the desire to go live in a yurt somewhere. Can't fix my own life, can't help others, so I'll go live under a rock.

It's not like everything in my life sucks. I just can't get past a few things that are weighing me down at the moment. Baking, my escape tactic, doesn't even sound appealing right now.

I hear you! Boy, do I hear you. *hugs*

I was touched by two messages recently while 1) listening to James MacDonald and 2) at church today.

Both kind of said the same thing. Are you doing life under your OWN power, or are you letting God lead? We get so worn out when we try to do it ourselves. We need God's peace... Philippians 4:6 says to worry about NOTHING and pray about EVERYTHING. THank God for what you've got and tell Him what you need and He'll give you His peace that passes all human understanding.

How is your prayer life? Your time in the Word? Mine has been lacking, and I am very much feeling it.

The MacDonald message: http://store.walkintheword.com/p-2114-when-i-need-him-most-rescue-recovery-help-from-john-21-cd-single.aspx
There are some times in life when you know you really need the Lord. Nothing else will make it. Relationships, economics, or your health are what you hoped they would never be. You've come to the end of yourself and you're in a desperate spot.

That's how the disciples felt in those days after Jesus' death and resurrection. Their world was upside down and they didn't know where to turn. And then Jesus showed up. Discover, as they did, how Jesus meets you where you are and gives you all that you need. When you need Him most is when you discover Him to be all that you need.

I hope this brings you some peace and/or comfort.

Thanks...I know it's all true and yet at the same time I just still go ugh. Not knowing how or when things will get better makes it hard to accept that they eventually will. Or, that I just have to suffer through it.

There may be worse problems, but it sounds like this is a pretty stressful time for you... I hope things get better ASAP.

P.S. You deserve to feel happy/good about your job. It sucks that this one is so draining.

Actually, I was going to move into your yurt, but you don't live in one yet. :) So, you need to build that B&B so I can come work there.

Well, I know how to change toilet seats and fix other simple things. Oh, and I bake scones and cookies.

Also, did you search for Darcy pictures just for me, or did you already have them? Both of those possibilities are completely full of awesome.

That last one I dub RDJoobs. Remarkable Dorkface Joobs. ...
