Where does the time go?
It's 7:30 already! ACK!
I don't get some childfree people's attitudes.
A week or 2 ago, a conversation occured on the baristas community where a childfree person said people who want children of their own are selfish, and they are bad for not adopting needy children from overseas. o_O ??? What I'd like to ask the holder of this particular opinion is what they think of the parents oversees who have kids they don't want and/or can't afford, or those who give their kids up for adoption.
Work is crazy.
I'm surviving, and it's slowly getting better, but man, it should be easier than this! I'm still not touching the bag of papers I brought home - just like last night.
My new book, as if I need more to read.
The Secret Diary of Charlotte Bronte. I think that's the title, but it's in the bag behind me and I don't feel like getting out of my chair. It was in the fiction section but is supposedly based on Bronte's life. The author also wrote a book about Jane Austen but it wasn't available. I've been reading parts of Jane Eyre before bed recently. Still love that book.
Blah :)

You could have even stated that you had enjoyed listening to her perspective and ignorance on the topic. But that you had to go now - you were busy raising valuable contributions to society.

Date: 2009-08-08 06:04 am (UTC)I've flown to CA twice this summer, and not all the land is usable, but there is PLENTY of open space left between NorCal and Phoenix alone.

Date: 2009-08-07 03:31 pm (UTC)After I had my first son I wanted to adopt a second. I always wanted two or three boys. I knew for me personally that I didn’t have to give birth to my own to love him like my own, and I knew there were children that needed good homes. It was just something pulling on my heart at the time. When I told some close friends and my boss that they all thought I was weird. Didn’t matter anyway, while on birth control I got pregnant with my second son. I still think about fostering someday…
“Work is crazy….” I hear ya! … that is all I can say at the moment, no words for you. I guess it is just the nature of the beast of being a teacher huh.

Date: 2009-08-09 04:30 pm (UTC)Like me...we both know I'm pretty opinionated on western medicine, but I DO still see some value in it: I'd be a fool not to. I, however, lean much more towards natural paths that look to find the source of the problem instead of just treating the outward issues. ;)
