Actually, it's more like half a day, since I rolled into town at 430. I left my mom's house at 445am. Aside from my adventure trying to find a bathroom in Ontario, the drive was pretty uneventful. I only saw one cop the whole day. I saw the first cactus of the trip a mile after crossing the AZ border. The Grapevine has nothing on I-10 going across the desert. Yet, with the almost constant uphill grade, I stil averaged 80mph, which helped me make up for lost time. I started to think my AC was going to fail, which would have been bad as the temp went up about a minute after I would turn it off. I love that there are Starbucks drive throughs along the way. I only stopped at one (ok 2, but the first one wasn't open yet) but still, it's nice to see those signs when you're out on the road.

Towards the end of my drive, my friends and my dad kept calling to see where I was. Um, I can't drive any faster, it's gonna take a while to go 200 more miles. When I finally got out of the car, I wanted to melt into a puddle on the floor. Not due to heat, but I had driven for nearly 12 hours! Oy. I'm tired, and there's a lot more I want to say here but I'm not remembering it, and if I did, it probably wouldn't make much sense.

I want another Starbucks now.
