weddings and moving and such

This weekend I finally got a vacation. I went to a wedding in a place called Ragged Point. It's on the Pacific Coast Highway just north of San Simeon. Took 6 hours to get there, but it was totally worth it. Chris and Leanne are so awesome, and they have been waiting so long for this. I think everyone attending was crying during the ceremony. Chris and Leanne almost lost it a few times. The reception was a blast. The location was beautiful. Last night my friends and I sang karoke, and I even got up and sang alone! The song was much lower than I expected it (Beatles - In My Life) and I thought I sounded weird, but my friends said I sounded good. I think they would say that no matter what because they are my friends :) Today I got to touch the ocean for what will probably be the last time in a really long time. Considering I rarely make it to the ocean living 2 hours away, I'll never get out there once I move to Phoenix.

Phoenix...I leave in a week, and it's starting to sink in. I have to start packing! Tomorrow is the 4th and I'll be rafting and eating BBQ all day. I want to start going through stuff tonight but I am pooped. It's gonna be down to the wire, I'm starting to think.

I just turned my LOTR poster calendar to July. All month long, I get to look at a close up of Aragorn, the picture where he's holding Anduril up near his face. I'll have to put the calendar up ASAP when I get to Arizona.

EEK! I had to think for several seconds to remember the name Anduril. I wanted to say Elendil, but knew that was wrong. Then I had to think "shards of Narsil" and finally came up with the right name. My LOTR trivia is fading...
