Sick

I was supposed to take the middle school language arts AEPA test today. However, I got sick last night, so I missed the test and I'm out the registration fees. The bright side: I'm able to eat (a piece of bread, Powerade, and some Corn Pops so far). The down side: the stupid muscle fatigue from the dehydration. I'm already tempted to take Monday off. Here's hoping the Advil I just took will help; even if it just gets rid of my headache, I'll be happier. Laying on the couch watching a movie, I can't get comfortable, because my back and shoulders ache. And my legs.

I hate getting sick.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you're sick. I would whip you up some chicken soup if I didn't live on the other side of the country. ;) Prayed for you. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you're sick! That kind of sick is just miserable. :-( Is taking Monday off a matter of needing to find the energy to go in tomorrow and get ready for a sub? If not, go for it.

I would have to email lesson plans to my VP, which would involve me making up something for the kids to do. On the other hand, they have library for half the period, so it shouldn't be so bad.

It's the lack of energy and the soreness that make me want to stay home. Also, we have AIMS on Tuesday and Wednesday, so the week is kind of shot as it is. Just...I am afraid of how my kids will treat a sub. Just last week, one said she won't sub for 7th/8th at my school anymore.

Oh, I HATE when I wake up sick in the middle of the night! I hope you're feeling better (but maybe you should take tomorrow off just to be sure you don't pass on any germs...)

I felt much better today, plus I've been starving. I would call out tomorrow except I know the kids would eat any sub alive. At least I actually have a lesson prepared!
