Dangit, all *I* want for Christmas is Mr. Darcy! One all of my own!
I almost don't want to see the 1995 version, because I love Mr. Darcy in this one, but a friend told me she loves the other version/Mr. Darcy too (and I can't remember the actor in that one).
I've now watched twice, plus the ending 2 additional times. I would get the book on CD to listen to on my long drive to/from CA but it's not worth $40.
Yes! I went through the same thing with seeing the '95 version. It has its good points the new one doesn't have but, as far as which Darcy I like best, it's definitley the '05 all the way (but I'm asking for the '95 DVD for Christmas, if that says anything ;)). It really just comes down to if you think seeing another Darcy will ruin it for you. In my opinion Colin Firth ('95 Darcy) plays it a bit dry and on the mean side. Hold out to the second disc if you do watch it because it gets better.
Hee hee I didn't even notice (and this is LJ, so who cares?).
I'm giggling at the icon. I must see the '95 version now! My sister has the book, so I'll probably finish it while I'm visiting. I read a bunch last night, she has the tiny sized book that's 450 pages long, and I read 63 so far.
