ringsandcoffee: (DW Ten do not want)
Chilling with [livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter at her place. She graciously rewatched 6 episodes of Doctor Who with me so I could catch up. Now I have to wait for episodes like the rest of the world...WAHHH!!!

So many things about S7 and the newest Christmas special! ACK! Thus the icon. I mean, do not want the changes on DW. DO want to keep hanging out with awesome other Becky. :D

I need an Eleven icon. Now that I'm caught up, I can look at icon comms.

[livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter was (hopefully) entertained by my frequent texts as I watched the season finale of Sherlock. If you haven't already, you should watch the show. Both seasons have only 3 episodes, and you can watch S2 online through June 19th. S2 makes more sense if you've seen S1, but you may still be entertained if you can't access it. Also, having seen the 2 Sherlock Homes movies with Robert Downey Jr. helps, but isn't necessary.

ringsandcoffee: (Aragorn's Vader moment)
A friend posted on FB that 2 of her friends (turned out to be mother and daughter) saw the stars of Star Trek at a Hooters near my hometown. As in, the next city south. I haven't seen ST, and dunno if I ever will, but BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH was there! This sighting coincides with the new Sherlock episodes airing this month. I have a minor crush on Benedict (thanks [livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter for thrusting the S1 dvds into my hands!) since seeing him as Sherlock. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY am I not back in my hometown so I can stalk a celebrity???

Not that I want to go to Hooters by any means, but Benedict!! As soon as I heard they were in the area, I guessed they were filming at Livermore Lab. I was correct. http://livermore.patch.com/articles/star-trek-cast-spotted-at-hooters

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter's post, I got to see Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition, on the big screen tonight. Saw her post, flailed, Googled, bought ticket, and flailed again. This all took place in about 5 minutes. Happened to be going to get my haircut, and shared my geeky news with my hair dresser. She already knew about it, mentioned fathomevents.com. She would have gone with me tonight, but had to work late. She'll go see the other 2 with me. I saw Michelle on FB and told her, and she decided to go on less than 2 hours notice.

Last time I watched LOTR was a marathon this time 3 years ago, with Michelle and Reena. Ahhhh, just like Peter Jackson sait, it's meant to be seen on the big screen. So true. I know what happens in the movie, and I still got all nervous over the cave troll. As soon as I saw Boromir, I got sad knowing he dies. Legolas...so pretty. As Michelle said, he even runs pretty. Aragorn, I still love you in all your dirty, sweaty manliness. Gandalf, your fake nose looks quite realistic. Frodo, dang, you have perfect skin. I need to meet your makeup artist. Balrog, YOUUUU SHALL NOT PASS (boom)!!

Hmmm LOTR love. I think I need to change my default icon to something LOTR. My love for these movies has been reignited.

[livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter you RULE! :D My mom announces my name and I immediately knew your package had come. I didn't even know it was a package, I was all excited and went running down the stairs to see what it was. Anywho, I love the Shakespeare notes, and I LOVE Magentic Poetry!! YAY! Thank you thank you!!! The card is funny too.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] ewanspotter (and anyone else who is a fan):

I just felt the need to tell you I'm listening to Moulin Rouge songs :D Anything Ewan reminds me of you.

Dang, I love that movie.
