I loved The Kitchen God's Wife both times I read it. Of her 3 books I've read, they are all along the lines of American daughter doesn't understand her immigrant mother. I also read her first memoir, which is basically this also. I like the memoir also.

I love memoirs. I wish I liked fiction more, but it's so predictable now.
