May. 25th, 2009 07:09 pmIt's amazing how certain things that freaked me out as a child still freak me out today. I happened to see some icons featuring Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet on LOST) in a remake of V. The original miniseries (or was it a tv show?) scared the crap out of me as a kid way back in the 80s. The little I remember still gives me the chills, so I certainly won't be watching the remake.
Grading is almost all done - just need to compile a missing work list. Report cards won't be as bad as I thought, but still not what I'd like them to be.
I made Pioneer Woman's carrot cake for Bible study potluck last night, and it was a hit. I think I'll go have the last piece now. The vegetarian lasagna Jenn brought was also quite excellent.
9 days left...the next 4 will be filled with odds and ends that I need to get done, plus report cards to fill out. My goal for tonight is to fill out the health insurance packet and be done. Oh, do laundry too.
The cake is calling my name...
