Saturday like it should be

I got to sleep in this morning, yay. Instead of repeatedly hitting snooze, I just reset my alarm for 1027 and went back to sleep. I swear, it was as if I'd only blinked, not slept 2 hours. An instant messenger chime made me get out of bed. It was Luis...he was going to Tucson so would stop and have coffee with me on his way. We went to Gold Bar, where I'd never been. My $5 mocha was pretty good. The smell of Subway next door was taunting me, so I suggested we try a Mediterranean place I'd seen sigs for. Well, we couldn't find the place so we went to a Peruvian restaurant I've passed a few times. Yay for adventure and trying new places! I must be adventurous more often.

Later on I hit the teacher store, where I dropped over $50 on books and some desk tapes with print and cursive letters. It's sad to see some 4th graders still form letters incorrectly. Then I looked for a bookshelf at Target, but I'll have to get another like the one I got at Walmart instead. Need more storage space by my desk. Instead of the shelf, I got some junk food, including timtams. I'd never have thought twice about them but for ewanspotter having posted about them before. Dude, I totally understand why they are Australia's favorite cookie. Thank you, Pepperidge Farms, for bringing them to me! Oh yeah, got some Mother's circus animals (the pink and white frosted things) for next movie night with Michelle and Reena. Safeway already got rid of all the Mother's cookies.

Need to keep cleaning and doing laundry. Since it is officially November, I played my Christmas with the Rat Pack cd I got at WalMart Thursday night. I went in for some colored hair spray (picture to come later) and left with the spray, the cd, Doritos, and Heath baking bits.

Purple hair is lots of fun, let me tell you.

1. I am an organized person, but I hate putting things away because they have to be in their places.
2. I was obsessed with Sting for a number of years. Little Wing is playing on iTunes so it reminded me of him.
3. I make a lot of plans and set goals for myself, but more often than not I don't follow through with them.
4. It's hard for me to do one project or chore from start to finish. I flit between I need to do and eventually get a few done.
5. Geekdom never dies. I put in Fellowship of the Ring just to watch the part where Aragorn sings about Luthien, because someone in a community had asked how Luthien was pronounced.
6. Unless something drastic happens, the next roommate I'll have will be my husband. 10 years of roommates was long enough.
7. At least once a week, I feel like a total fraud, that I'm really a horrible teacher. The feeling usually passes, but still.
8. I'm quite fidgety, which drives my sister crazy.
