Yep, I feel it
Jun. 30th, 2008 12:44 pmI've heard that you aren't supposed to work out the same muscle groups everyday, but instead every other day. My upper arms and abdomen are sore from last night, so I'm thinking this is a good idea.
It's probably hovering around 110 outside. Ok, 102 says AOL weather. Anyway, that hot, and what am I going to do? Errands in a frigging hot car! YES! Going to Costco to print close to 2 years worth of pictures from my digital camera (well over 500 o_O) and Bed Bath & Beyond for...something I can't remember.
News from the quitting Starbucks front: Not actually quitting, but majorly reducing. My friend Susan estimated how much I spend on lattes in 2 months as justification for my new purse. So, I make iced coffee at home and do half coffee, half milk. So, three shots of espresso a day has been traded for however long 20 oz of coffee lasts me. Yikes, I need to drink more water.
Just over 3 weeks until I report back to work, so I feel like I need to start preparing for it. I really don't want to, but I know it will make life (a little) easier during the school year. So, my short term goals are to reread Teaching With Love and Logic and map out some skills practice activities for math. Now that I've taught 4th grade math, I can figure out some filler activities to work on skills.
Broccoli slaw, crushed Ramen noodles, chicken deli meat, and Asian sesame dressing make a pretty decent salad. I just remembered that I don't like raw broccoli florettes but I'm digging the slaw. Weird.
