Finally on vacation
Dec. 16th, 2006 11:08 pmIt was a long, busy last week of school, but I survived. Yesterday, every one of my homeroom students showed up, which almost NEVER occurs. We stayed in homeroom all day, and it kind of turned out to be one big party, but the kids enjoyed themselves and were not too wild. I'll need a new set of dry-erase markers after they colored all day.
Today, I slept in, went to the coffee shop for 3 hours, went to Target, baked for the cookie exchange tomorrow, and then started cleaning my poor, neglected apartment. Oh yeah, I put on the movie Elf for noise, which I ended up watching much of. Then I watched Dirty Dancing. I love that movie! I've seen it probably more times than any movie ever, even more than LOTR. It's been a while, so of course I still noticed something new about it. The log scene is my favorite, which I used to imitate when I was in elementary school. Oh, how I wanted to be a dancer! Ok, so I still do, but anyway.
