Hmm, I've slacked off on updates.  Let's see...Today I went tubing on the Salt River with some other teachers, plus Jen's husband.  It's a good thing he was there, and especially that he's a Coast Guard rescue swimmer, because one of the group flipped over when we hit rapids, and was falling behind.  We were watching her get a panicked look on her face as she got farther away, plus she kept hitting rocks.  Brian got to her, they got banged up some, and Brian lost his wedding ring, but they are both safe and sound.  I managed to not get sunburned, which is amazing.  I kept a wet shirt draped over my shoulders, sometimes on my legs as well, plus I applied more sunscreen a few times.  Everyone else came out various shades of red.  I was worried because last year my friend got severe sunburns while tubing.  I did not want to go through what she did.

I don't know what it is about rivers that makes people want to bring mass quantities of beer and various floating devices and be in the sun for hours.  It's not just Salt River, it happened back in CA also.  Some folks get quite silly out there.  Gee, let's get massively drunk and dehydrated so our friends have to carry us back, and make sure we're so incoherent that we can't even answer the park ranger's questions!

School...I'm in denial at the moment.  Tomorrow I have to plan for the week.  I have 2 weeks under my belt, but I feel like I haven't covered enough.  What I have covered, I don't feel like I did as well as I could/should have.  You have to plan for everything as a teacher, every possibility, but you don't even know half the possible situations you'll face until you face them.  So, you plan for those as well and then, more things hit you unexpectedly.

There was a Dave Matthews Band concert broadcast live on AOL.  I turned it on in the last song, then watched the encore.  I wonder, do bands ever get tired of doing encores?  They always do them, you know the band will come back onstage because the lights are still off.  Anyway, I really like DMB, even though I haven't really followed them for years.  Still love the style and the sound of Dave's voice.  Love that AOL has an all DMB channel.

Ok, dude, someone tried to unhook my bra tonight, but he couldn't do it because I wasn't wearing one.  I happened to be wearing a camisole tank under my other tank top.   Funny that he would try that.  Luis is and odd guy, but he makes good coffee.
