Viggo is a fighter

I finally researched my betta's symptoms, and he has something called dropsy. It's usually fatal, and one site said it can take up to 15 days for the betta to die, though 5 is the usual. Viggo's been sick for close to a month now. Everyday I think it's the end then I look at him and he's swimming around asking for food. My precious little Viggo, my little fighter. He's had a near-death experience with a cat, was almost dumped down the garbage disposal, survived a 12 hour car trip (as did Frodo) and he's 2 years old now. I'll be sad when he goes to betta heaven.
