So far, like my new place. It's definitely been lived in, but still, I've not had this much space of my own since 2000. I don't know what to do with myself! Unpacking my stuff, I'm amazed by 2 things: How I managed to compact my posessions for the last 4 years, and at the same time, realizing I keep a lot of junk I don't need! More and more of it keeps appearing, some stuff I didn't even know I still had. I'm doing more purging, like I did when first coming from Folsom. I don't want to feel like a kid anymore, and I realize I don't need to save every shopping bag that I come home with. I don't have to save half used containers of beauty product (though I do hate throwing stuff like that away).
My main concern when looking for an apartment was having my own washer and dryer. After having one in-house for the last 5 years, there's no way I'm going back to digging for quarters and worrying that someone will mess with my stuff. So, this place has stacked washer and dryer, yay. However, I'm going to have to do umpteen loads of laundry! I didn't realize how small it was! I can fit 2 pairs of jeans and a few small items in there; I haven't even attempted towels yet. This should be interesting, I wonder how much it will cost me on my utility bill later on.
