Ok, so this is where I semi-complain about my job. It's hypocritical since I told my students today that complaining is not allowed, but whatever, this is my journal. I feel like I got the short end of the stick on certain things, but get the easy way out on others. For example, I have a total of 14 students right now, 2 groups of 7. I only have them for 4 out of 6 periods. Easy teaching, you'd think? No. I have to use this corrective curriculum that seems extremely boring, and I hope the kids don't try to assasinate me out of boredom. If it doesn't work out, I have to make up my own curriculum, which no other teacher would have to do. I'm new, I want some training on what I'm supposed to use, like other teachers got. I want stuff that's chosen for me, not stuff I have to go find on my own. Plus, I have to almost be a library aid in the middle of the day! Alas, it's work, and I feel bad having 2 hours free for planning that others don't get.
School is good otherwise.
I really want to go get a toffee almond bar from Starbucks. I think I will...watch them be closed when I get there.
