It's been a while

I haven't updated in ages. Ok, maybe not that long, but a lot has happened. I've been working since the 20th, at my new job! I've had new teacher orientation and training, and then also prepping for the school year. I'm still at school, not doing things I should be doing. However, it's almost 4pm so I don't care.

Today is the first day since I went back to work that I haven't felt sick in the morning. I still don't know if it's nerves or what that makes me feel nauseous. I think I have Monday and Tuesday mapped out and I just have to finish the finer details, so that's good. Everyone here is really nice, and helpful, and telling me to not stress out. I'm trying to follow that advice. Yesterday I almost broke down because yet another change was thrown at me, but Alyssa made me laugh and calm down. Then, today everything was taken care of. Being the resource teacher, I'm kind of filling in the gaps and making things up as I go along, so it's ok that not a lot is certain. Still, I hate the unknown, so when I don't know what I need to do, I get stressed.

It's 105 out, but it's not that bad. Loving the dry drier heat. It's monsoon season so we do have some humidity, but still, it's more bearable than back in CA.

Oh yeah...I FOUND FELLOW LOTR GEEKS! Two other staff members are LOTR and Star Wars geeks - they used the word geek before I did. WOOT it's as exciting as when I used to find fellow X-Philes.
