Merry Christmas y'all!
Dec. 24th, 2004 09:03 pmIt's Christmas Eve. This morning, I worked. I did NOT want to get out of bed, let me tell you, especially since it was icy outside. Not a big fan of having to defrost my windshield. I swear I'm a danger to other drivers by driving with ice still covering half my view. Work was fun, nonetheless. I cannot believe how many people are still buying presents on Christmas Eve! We ran out of gift cards, so started recycling a few old ones we had collected. We ran out of those, but my manager got a few more boxes from another store. I bet we went through those in an hour. People bought a lot of other gift items as well. Most people were in really good spirits.
Instead of driving straight to my mom's, I went home to take a shower after work. Needed to get the coffee smell off me. Dawdled about for a while, then got on the road, vanilla latte in hand. 6 shots of espresso today still doesn't make up for lack of sleep. It's 9pm and I feel ready to crash.
Went to Alyssa's first, to give her her present. Her family has a party every Christmas Eve. Alyssa cracked me up, saying she's already sick of her family after a day. I told her she could come to my mom's house if she wanted to. Well, after a few minutes with my mom and sister, my sister was driving *me* nuts. However, I still love them. My sister is my sister, and probably will never change. At least I have a place to come to, and a room to sleep in (not to mention it's the computer room with high speed internet!)
I have no idea what's going on tomorrow. I wonder if my brother and Beth will come over. I hope so.
