Shelob's offspring

Holy cow, Shelob has offspring, and somehow they traveled from Middle Earth to my house.  Last night there was a HUGE black spider (it's body was about the size of a penny, and with it's legspan it was at least an inch and a half in diameter) under the front door threshold.  I freaked and went in through the garage.  The friggen thing was just in a place where I could not smash it from the top.  I stared at it through the kitchen window until I couldn't stand it anymore.  I nudged it with a broom, hoping it would come towards me so I could kill it, but it ran into a crack under the wall! 

To make things worse, later last night my roommate found *2* more huge (though not as big as the one I saw) spiders in the house!!! Fortunately, they were dead.  But they were inside! Why are giant spiders coming in my house??  How it is I didn't have nightmares last night, can only be a miracle from God.  I keep looking around today, looking for Shelob's kid...
