Friday Five - weather

1) What's the weather like where you are today?
HOT. It's summer in Phoenix. Say something about the "dry heat" and I might punch something.

2) How does this type of weather make you feel?
As long as I have working AC, it's okay, though I dislike hiding indoors all the time. Today was only 108, whereas last week was 119. Yes, there is a difference you can feel. I didn't mind going out to do errands today. When it's over 110, sigh. You get used to it, but never learn to like it.

3) What's your favorite time of year (thinking about the weather)?
Winter, when it's finally cold enough to wear a sweater and need a coat while outside. Also, November when it FINALLY starts to feel cool again. Yes, we get into the 90s well into October.

4) Is there any weather that just makes you want to hide away indoors?
See #2 Also, in August, when it hovers around 105 and 50% humidity. We come out when it starts raining though.

5) If you were moving somewhere purely for the climate, where would it be - what's your perfect year-round weather scenario?
I don't know, though I once had a roommate who swore San Diego had the best weather year-round.

San Diego has nice weather. I would move there, if I could afford it.

I have a friend who moved from New Orleans to SD a few years ago. It was hard for him to find a house he could afford.

I can't even imagine what it's like with temperatures over 100° for weeks ... ugh ...
No, thanks.

That's what most people don't understand. If it cooled down at night, it would be different. I am used to it, but have grown tired of 3 months of consistent heat.

I HATE it when people talk about dry heat. I have been in both. Who cares, it's fricking HOT in either one!

You are my favorite person right now.

HAHA!! Seriously though when we were in Arizona I was dying, and everyone kept saying it's a dry heat it's a dry heat. I don't care, it's still HOT

My friend in Austin and I used to compare the weather. He always won in terms of humidity. Still, we have more hot days here, and less rain.
