Summer time, summer time, summer time!


1. What plans did you have for this summer?
Work. Try to take a trip somewhere.

2. Have you accomplished them or is it still a work in progress?
Still working! :P Also going to CA in August. Seeing family and friends, staying with my sister then my mom. Not a real vacation, but at least I'm off work.

3. What would make this summer much better for you?
Not having the mandatory overtime hours. Sure, I get paid for them, but still would rather have that time back. Also, more time off.

4. When did you go back to school from summer break when you were a kid?
The Tuesday after Labor Day. When I started teaching here and had the late July or early August starts, that was odd. Getting out in May was nice though.

5. Is anyone else as shocked as I am that July and most of the summer is nearly over?
Pretty sure I was thinking something similar within the last few days. I have not gone in the pool at all, barely spend time outside, and ugh. However, I live in Arizona. It's summer 3/4 of the year anyway.

I hear you about the burning up. So, so hot this summer. Every year seems a bit more so, too. Ugh.

My sister is in Danville (and my brother in Pleasanton), and my mom is in Jackson.

Wow, I don't know about Danville or Pleasanton, but poor Jackson is roasting this week. It's one of my favorite spots in the Foothills and we visit often.

a - Work summer school (ugh). b - plan for baby shower c - register for baby shower d - get the nursery somewhat ready e - clean the house f - get ready for a new school year

2. Have you accomplished them or is it still a work in progress?
a - halfway done. b- we made some progress but I still have stuff to do. c - probably in the next week or so. d - currently in progress. Paul is rushing me and I'm so torn! e - always a constant, never-ending battle, f - haven't even thought of next school year yet

Not working summer school

4. When did you go back to school from summer break when you were a kid?
Sometime after Labor Day

5. Is anyone else as shocked as I am that July and most of the summer is nearly over?
I'm surprised July is almost over. I still have all of August so it doesn't feel like summer is almost over, but then again August always does feel so rushed!

You sound as busy as I am. I can't believe how quickly June and July went... well, is going in July's case. And August is going to be a blur, sigh... It'll be the holidays before we know it.
