Bleak House
Nearly a year and a half after listening to the audio book, and more than a year after buying the dvd, I'm finally watching Bleak House. Quite good, quite good. True to Dickens' style, there's a character so annoying I want to smack him.
Good thing I'm on break; I may end up watching the rest of it tomorrow all in one sitting.

Is that too much? I'm just very excited.
Who do you want to smack down?
I need to watch/read that again too.
Love me some Eugene Wrayburn ♥

I can't believe it.
I shall diminish and go into the West.

Spare cash (present from mom) burns a hole in my pocket so I bought Wives and Daughters today. I almost bought OMF as it was only $15, I swear it used to be more expensive. However, I thought there was maybe a newer version, even after recognizing your beloved Eugene on the cover. I was wrong...and now I'm geeking out because the female lead is Keely Hawes, aka Mrs. McFadyen!

You cannot go into the west! Although, there are lots of pretty elves there. Hmm, maybe I'll join you.

Keely Hawes is the real Mrs. MacFadyen?!? Or character-wise? Last time I heard he was dating someone who he has a kid with or something.

W&D I audobooked/read in December. The movie preview is on a few other dvds I have, and from the clip I actually didn't want to see it. After I read it, I understood what's happening in the clip. Plus, I really did love the book. Oh, and Mr. Collins ('05) is one of the main characters.
Yes, Keely is married to Matthew. I was looking up Little Dorrit pics and saw one of her bringing their 2 kids to the set, then looked her up on imdb. For some reason I thought Matthew was single. She had been married before, and has a son from that marriage.

Interesting you liked the book. I'll wait for your movie review to rent it ;)
What a shocker! P&P was my first period drama I really liked and paid attention to in a fandom way so at the time I hadn't seen OMF. I guess when I read about his girlfriend I didn't file away the name. That's crazy. I'm glad you mentioned it.
