Staying up didn't really seem like a good idea, but I couldn't help myself. So, I watched the first 2 hours of the new Emma on Masterpiece Classic last night. Totally worth it! It's far better than the one with Gwyneth Paltrow. Blake Ritson makes a fine Mr. Elton; can't wait to see Christina Cole as Mrs. Elton.

Reading this (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1366312/trivia) page made me far too giddy.

So, am I supposed to get this excited over new versions of movies/books?

Say what? Better than old Emma? I'm not saying it was the best, but it was cute at least. But that could just be the story and nothing to do with the movie lol.
I recorded it but haven't watched it yet.

Very intriguing, my Austen friend.

Thornton wonders what the fuss is about lol

I liked the book, though I was a little bored with it. Maybe I'll read the whole thing again someday and not just the random parts I open to. ANYWAY yes, the new movie is much better than the old one. Better characterization, longer, and in general not annoying like the other can be. Several instances of me snorting or guffawing and the like. :)

Oh! Thornton is wondering about is why Frederick Hale is in the new Emma. He's a little confused.

I must now swoon a little for Thornton.
