I went to Chick-Fil-A for the first time tonight. Well, technically I had a sample a couple of years ago. I wanted Burger King but traffic made me seek other options. So, not having a clue what I'd get, I headed to the drive-thru. I noticed something different right away about the place. I ordered, got my total, and was told "We'll be happy to help you at the window." Pull up, and the friendly language continued, plus everyone just seemed super friendly. I'm impressed, I must admit. Other plusses: waffle fries (!), whatever the sauce packet was (honey roasted bbq?), and pickles on my sandwich. Yum.

Four more days. Life is SO MUCH DIFFERENT with 14 students. More on that eventually.

And PS: I don't know why I felt the need to point out they're Christian, other than perhaps as an answer to why they were so nice.
Don't know why I felt the need to point out that I've loved 'em since before I was a Christian, except possibly to nullify that connection as being the reason WHY I love them. Heh.

I think we saw one years ago in Denver, on a Sunday, and it was closed. The signs on the ones around here say "closed on Sundays." I thought maybe it was a Mormon thing, to be honest.

I knew abotu In-n-Out, but haven't seen Newsweek.

I've heard *about* it - big black Bible on the cover and a VERY one-sided rant against evangelicals re: gay marriage stance.

you know, i've always been under the impression that chick-fil-a was LDS owned too... i was about to tell you that it was but i decided i better look it up first, turns out it was started by a southern baptist. now i'm wondering where i got the whole LDS idea... at least that explains why there aren't any in SLC.

at any rate, i don't like chicken but when i did, i looooved chick-fil-a. their nuggets are REALLY good too, they're not processed but just little chunks of actual chicken. and the brownies... mmm.

oh, also, forever 21 bags have the same bible verse on them as the in-n-out cups. things you don't find out until you get really bored on the way home from the mall.

they are. i don't think that teeny-bopper and christian are mutually exclusive... are they?

No, just the clothes don't always strike me as completely appropriate.
