I left at 4am AZ/3am CA and arrived at 230pm CA. 738 miles. Let me tell you, books on cd are the way to do trips like this. I wasn't bored at all, and in fact, I got annoyed when people called me because I wanted to get on with the story. Except for about half hour of Mark and Brian while I was in LA, all I needed was the book.

Rhett Butler's People. If you've read Gone With the Wind, you may like it. It isn't just GWTW stuff, but about Rhett and his family and friends from about age 12 onward. I can either listen to the rest of it while I'm driving around here for the next week or wait till I leave for AZ again. Books on cd are expensive though, so I might just have to hold off on listening instead of buying something new.
