Today stuff
So stores are slowly opening at a new shopping center in town. I went to the brand new Ross and Old Navy. May I just say how lovely both of those stores were? Clean, organized, and all? I know they will never look like that again. Ross had my shower curtain for $5, with "suggested retail $10." What?? It's $25 at BB&B! I'm not terribly upset, since I'm picky and looked a long time for a shower curtain I liked. The Linens and Things is smaller than other locations, but I did get new pillows, buy one get one free. Time to toss the old yucky ones.
Next, I hit the mall. As I've said before, I need a personal shopper. Just about everything at Macy's was 25% off, or more, and I could not find anything. If someone would just pick outfits for me, I'd gladly try them on and say whether I like them or not. My mom says they are free, but you have to buy the clothes. Sometimes, I'm really really tempted, since I fail at shopping. I did, however, get a purple sweater and pair of jeans from Gap. They have a new style, called essential fit, and I like them. Expensive, but I really get my $$ worth out of jeans. The sweater is for winter, of course, but it's such a me sweater: cable knit. I already have 2 blue ones and a red one of the same style, but 2 of them are V-neck. Hey, if it works. I get so frustrated that I can't find basic items like plain tops in different colors or shirts that are NOT the faux-wrap style. Wrap shirts simmply do not sit right on me. Same goes for most shirts that have gathers under the chest. Believe me, I've tried.
It rained for a bit tonight. I should have left my car out in the open to get the dust off it. I know if I take it through the car wash, it will just rain and get dirty again. I love monsoon storms, but I hate the dust storm part of it.
I love my bed. Love it. Part of it is just that I think it's a cool bed, but I think a big reason why I love it so much is that I've wanted it for so long. I'm talking around 10 years here. Long ago, I randomly looked up canopy beds online trying to find what I had in my mind. Then, Crate and Barrel made one, and a couple year ago, Pottery Barn came out with the one I have. It's fun to lay in bed and look at the frame above me, which sort of makes me feel like I'm in a box. Whenever I get the sheer drape for it, it will sort of feel like a small room.
