So, I spent close to 3 hours watching Hercules on tv tonight. I almost quit watching when Linus, Sean Astin's character, got "killed" 20 minutes into it. I kinda feel bad for Sean. Ok, I read his book, and I know he has done some lame roles, and ones he didn't want to do, and some he did because he needed the money. But...come on, another goofy loyal sidekick role? It was like Sam, but less serious. I kept thinking 'dork' but then having a lot of respect for him at the same time. At least Hercules was filmed in New Zealand, hooray.

The movie itself had crappy effects. The 2 halves of the centaur were almost coming apart, the deer looked incredibly fake, and the horse Hercules lifts didn't even move. The 2 headed snake was pretty cool.

I stopped watching when he "died". I knew he would somehow not be dead, but the movie was lame so far, so I wasn't about to sit there and suffer through it, lol.

I started watching about 5 minutes before he 'died' and then lept watching. I keep asking myself why o_O The guy who played older Hercules was a decent actor, the rest were not great.
