I went to bed at 9:15 on a TUESDAY
Finally, my reaction to LOST. I've been filling the void by reading articles and watching "Totally Lost" videos on YouTube. Last night, it was just a little odd not having the tv on, as well as going to bed at a reasonable hour. No afterparty comments to read, nothing to be confused about.
Sunday was about 6 hours watching online. Two hours of recap, 2.5 of finale, and another hourish of Jimmy Kimmel. The finale was playing on my tv as I watched Kimmel online, but when I got to the last half hour, I just couldn't stand to see Jack die again. Even with them all coming together in Sideways World, my emotions couldn't handle anymore. As it was, I cried a bunch of times during the show, then gasped, then cried, rinse, repeat. Charlie and Claire, Sayid and Shannon, Jack and Kate, Jack...
I'm happy with how it ended. The Island wasn't purgatory - it was real. Them getting off the island on the Ajira plane was real, all that post-nuke stuff was real. I say this mainly because a friend is trying to say otherwise. I mean, it's horribly sad that Jack died like that, but Hurley, awwwwwww. Ben, awwwwwwww. Richard, ALIVE! WOOT! How Frank will explain coming back with Kate, who's now mysteriously survived 2 crashes, as well as Richard and Miles, who were not on the Ajira flight, and Claire and Sawyer, who "died" in the 815 crash, I have no idea. But I don't care. It was my show, it was a fantastic show, and it ended well enough for my liking.

Oddly, the few people in my lj flist talking about LOST didn't bother me, but MY GOODNESS the clamor and drama and furor on facebook made me cheer when the show ended (sorry.)
