I *was* watching Pirates of Caribbean 3 until channel 7 crapped out on me. It doesn't work on my mom's tv either. Grrr it was actually making sense this time, as opposed to when I saw it in the theater.

So I really only watch tv when I'm here at my mom's house. It used to be a lot of TLC, but this trip has been mostly HGTV. Tonight on House Hunters, a couple with three kids, who'd built a 4000 sq. ft home in VA, were moving to Orlando. Home values in VA had tripled so their new home price range was up to $1.6 million. One. Point. Six. MILLION. They ended up with a 6000+ sq. ft home. I...could afford 2-3 square feet of that house with my rent. Now, the couple had their own businesses (yes, 3 of them) but still.

Maybe it's a good thing I don't watch these shows more often. I can't even begin to concieve having that kind of money. Seeing the renovations people do, the houses, or even vacation houses people get amazes me. I mean, I feel a twinge guilty when I think about how much I spend at Starbucks or Target, but that's nothing compared to what some have. When you have the money, you discover what can be done with it. I don't envy those people or begrudge them for having it. What does frustrate me at times is when those people can't conceive of *my* situation, when I don't have money ot throw away on luxuries or fun things. Thankfully, those are few.

Argh, movie came back on for a bit, then cut out right at the end. I wanted to see the little bonus ending again.
