Well our training was apparently a 2 day thing condensed into about 2 hours, given by my principal's good friend (also a principal). They treated it like the cure-all for my school, saying we WILL be performing or performing plus this year. Uh, yeah, sure. Moving along.

Yesterday several teachers said they'd already had training or something with the book with their last principal or at another school. A few said they were really bothered if not offended by some of the material. A couple said they grew up in poverty and didn't agree with all of it. I htink it has a few useful points, but like everything else, take it with a grain of salt.
