Why am I so antisocial?

A family has moved into the apartment next door. They first arrived on Thursday, and today (Saturday) I hear them going in and out. I should go introduce myself, but I just don't want to. It's not like I'm scared or anything, and I really do like knowing my neighbors (the only other ones I even know the names of were the previous tenants) but here I sit. When I happen to be going outside sometime, I'll say hi.

Edit: I said hi just now as I took out the trash. Nice people, cute daughter. See, not so hard. Bleh.

I was anti-social at my old house. So were my neighbors. I lived there for 3.5 years without one neighbor even knowing my name.

Here, I know most everyone around me by name. And they know mine. We say hi and chat for a few minutes from time to time. It's a good feeling.

I was always worried about the "showing up at your door with a cassarole" type, but that hasn't been the case with anyone. Luckily. :)

I'm glad you said hi to them.
