Vacation of sorts

I'm in CA for a week helping my mom out. So, I'm enjoying cool, and occasionally rainy, weather. It's GREEN here! Yesterday I could see the ocean, and had dinner at Jack London Square in Oakland. We went to JLS to find Miette (www.miette.com) since I have the cookbook. I've eaten half the chocolate cake. Been doing stuff for mom, driving around, cleaning and cooking. Walking the dog twice a day. Going to Peet's daily. :D I don't love the streets, parking lots, and intersections here in Danville, but that's my biggest complaint.

On Netflix, I've been watching No Reservations and marveling at Anthony Bourdain's liver of steel. I swear, I don't get how people can drink that much. I also love that he goes places the tourists don't or can't go. I also watched Iron Man 2 last night. ewanspotter, I experienced many moments of Tony-angst. That and giggling. You know who my favorite character was? Rhoades. :D

DWTS...rooting for the Disney kid again. He's good! So is the football player and...um, forgot. Oh, Jaleel White.

Headache. Drank water, waiting for it to kick in.
