I need accountability.

If I put my list here, maybe people will bug me about getting things done. Hint, nudge, wink, etc. Seriously, I go back to work on the 21st and I'm torn between continued relaxation and getting some planning done. My summer is too short, and who knows how stressful this year will be. One day this week I'll go to school and see what my classroom looks like. Last summer the cleaning crew left a mess and broke a bookshelf.

My to do list:
revamp ticket/incentive system
decide on parent communication method
supply lists - what I'll provide, what I'll require students to have
go to teacher store
reading centers
clean up the pile in front of my bookcase
find a replacement for my plastic file drawer/storage container (?)
find a new desk (?)

Weird

I went searching the archives in [livejournal.com profile] teaching for classroom management ideas I'd read in the past, and found my own post from exactly a year ago. July 6, 2009.

All I accomplished today was hitting the teacher store, Target and Walmart. All 3 were pretty sparse, but I got a few items. Before I totally splurge, I need to take inventory of what I already have, which means going to school. Yikes. So, I will attempt to do so tomorrow. Get up early (and try to get off the 2am-10am sleep schedule), pop into my class if the building is open, then leave.

Then, go shopping again.

So unproductive!
